What a long strange trip it's been... 

 

I graduated college with a degree in architecture, then went on to do just about everything else. In a career spanning more than 30 years, I've somehow managed to rack up years of hands-on experience in running non-profits, political lobbying, campaigning and organizing, K-12 education, home construction and remodeling from design through completion, and sales.  

 

Always sales. While the training in architecture gave me great problem-solving skills and an eye for design, sales and writing have been the common threads running through my career. Writing to sell - whether ideas, people, projects, or products - has been a big part of every job I've ever done. My favorite part of each job.
